I would like to spill some information
on specifically but not exclusively European nautical matters
of a historical and contemporary elan. I am especially pointing
my arrows at World Ship Society members and the many other
quiet researchers in Europe who seriously contribute to the
recording of maritime history as a hobby
SUISSE
During the dark days of the second
World War Switzerland was practically forced to create a seagoing
merchant fleet flying the Swiss flag under the most adverse
conditions imaginable. This story is practically unknown to
most people. Introduction of a maritime law into Swiss legislation
was also undertaken with greatest urgency as a necessary preamble
for the forming of a small merchant fleet.
